Period Fruit

Green Valley farms specialise in growing full sized trees of historic varieties under organic conditions in ancient orchards, which helps to maintain the ecology and landscape character of the areas. The Company has over 450 period fruit trees, most varieties dating to before 1660.

Fruit is available in season and some soft fruit and plums may be available frozen. For winemakers we grow cider apples and perry pears.

As well as the table below, we offer seasonality charts for apples, pears, plums (and related varities), cherries and mazards, medlars and other fruit.
